ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN

Welcome back to the Orewa Beach 8 hour Teams Challenge open to all ages and abilities, corporate, social, and family teams.

On a 560 metre oval track relay teams of  2 or 4 people (compulsary at least one female team member) completes the most laps in the 8 hours to win. A unique lap counting system will ensure an accurate end result.

Teams will need to bring their own shelters and gas bbq's are welcome along with team uniforms or fancy dress.  Victor Eaves Park boasts a huge grass area beside the start/finish line were teams can all have their personel space and settle in for the day.

A FREE sausage sizzle will be available at around 12pm for all competitors.

This year also sees teams competing amongst a sports expo with loads of entertainment on the in field bringing with it heaps of interested onlookers.

You can also use our event for your fundraising initiative and get sponsored per lap. Simply print out the sponsorship form and start collecting sponsors today.

With trophies and medals for runners and walking teams and loads of cool spot prizes get your team together and enter today either for the challenge or just for the fun

  • Registration from 7.00am, Race briefing 8.45am, Event start 9.00am, Finish 5.00pm
  • Every competitor will receive Wrigleys chewing gum thanks to wrigley's of course and Percutane heat rub thanks to Douglas Pharmacuticals.  Thanks to our sponsors for their support, we hope that you support them in return.
  • Tent erection 7.00am

  • $120.00 4 person team ($30.00 each)
  • $60.00 2 person team ($30.00 each)

PRIZE GIVING

  • Prize giving will be held between 5.30pm & 6.00pm around the tent area.
  • Winners trophies and place medals presented to 1st 2nd and 3rd place running teams and 1st  2nd and 3rd place walking teams along with loads of spot prizes.
